Precision Pain Care welcomes Dr. Robert Stocum, DO, as its newest paincare specialist.

Dr. Stocum graduated from the Ohio University Heritage College of medicine in 2019. He completed his internship and anesthesiology residency in 2023, and an Anesthesiology Pain Medicine fellowship in 2024—both at the Ohio State University.

He has been trained on numerous new emerging therapies in the field of pain medicine, including: spinal cord stimulation, intrathecal drug delivery therapy, kyphoplasty, and radiofrequency ablation. He believes in a comprehensive aproach to pain with an emphasis on intervention therapies, and is passionate about expanding on the care he can offer as newer and innovative procedures emerge.

In addition to being trained in pain medicine, Dr. Stocum has been enlisted in the Ohio Army National Guard since 2010, currently serving as an officer and physician. He hopes to lead by example and be a good role model for his wife and two sons.

Precision Pain Care Now Offers This Innovative New Procedure

Unlike a typical more intrusive spinal fusion procedure using screws and rods, the Minuteman System® is an outpatient procedure with shorter recovery times, and less damage to surrounding tissue. This makes it especially attractive to patients physically unable to handle traditional bone fusion surgery with long recovery periods.

See our Minuteman Procedure page.
